Suvarnaprashana is also known by other names like, Swarna Prashana, Swarna Bindu Prashana Swarnamritha Prashana, And  Suvarna Prashan.
What is the history of this practiced?
The Origin of Suvarnaprashana can be traced back to Vedic ages. References about Suvarnaprashana can be found in Ghrya sutras and Manusmriti. Description about Suvarnaprashana is available in Kashyapa Samhita or Vridha Jeevaka Tantra written before 600 B.C.
Will swarna increase heat in the body?
There are no significant changes in the body temperature in normal condition. But in certain conditions like acute fever its better to skip the dose on the particular day. It is always advised to take a doctors opinion in such cases before taking Suvarnaprashana.
Is Suvarnaprashana alone enough for improving health?
Suvarnaprashana can be supplemented with other medicines like Chyavanprash, Indukantha Gritham, Vidaryadi Gritham, Narasimha Rasayana, Agasthya Rasayana, Kooshmanda Rasayana, Ajamamsa Rasayana. It is always advised to take a doctors opinion.
Is it okay to skip a dosage?
It’s always advised not to skip the Suvarnaprashana to maintain the efficiency of the medicine. But if missed a day nothing harm. Don’t administer the drops, if the child is critically ill or having some acute problems like fever, vomiting or diarrhea on that particular day.
